Blackpool has been named the city with poor housing, giving it a somewhat bad reputation, but it is still a well-visited destination for visitors because of its famous attractions.
Blackpool Tower
Blackpool has its own type of Eifel tower. It overlooks the sea and city and offers great views and optimum photo opportunities. The tower is high on the list of attractions people want to see when visiting Blackpool.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach
The Pleasure Beach is on the promenade, and this is a kid’s dream in Blackpool. Actors act as zombies to give a true horror feel to the haunted house. And this entertainment area is also home to The Big one, a rollercoaster reaching mad heights of 235ft.
There is enough entertainment in this park right by the coast to stay in a nearby hotel and never run out of ideas on what to do.
Something for everyone
While the rollercoaster, The Big One, and The Big Dipper are ideal for keeping the adults busy, there is something for the younger ones at Nickelodeon Land where SpongeBob’s Splash Bash is waiting to lure them in.
Donkey rides
Younger family members can still ride on donkeys at Blackpool. And there is no need for animal lovers to worry, as these animals are very well cared for and nobody over 50kg is allowed to ride, and they are not worked hard. Instead, a guide leads the donkeys for a 15-minute walk along the beach.
The Grand Theatre
More entertainment is available at The Grand Theatre, where visitors can watch a cabaret, and everybody is welcome to sing along. The venue, formerly named Her Majesty’s Opera House, is enormous and can seat nearly 3,000 people. Performances come in many forms, with dinner served before the show commences.
